Motorcycling is something we love. That is why we ride, despite all the risks involved. But then, there are people who’d love to do it, but can’t for some reason. They often yearn to buy a motorcycle for years, before they can ever get one, if they ever do.
Barry Strang, 59, Wyoming resident, yearned for a Harley-Davidson all his life. He was a father of two, and was about to retire. Finally, he was able to convince his wife Pam to get one. He had just put a post on Facebook talking about his new bike. He was the happiest guy. But, as fate would have it, not for long.
Strang had taken out his Harley out on the road for the very first time, ever since he bought it. Just after three miles, tragedy struck! Strang met with a horrible accident. He was trying to ride around a curve when he collided with a tractor trailer. He was thrown off the bike, and right under the truck.
He was sadly declared dead at the scene, shortly after. It’s heartbreaking for his wife, Pam. However, the only way she’s finding solace in this time of doom is knowing that her husband at least went off doing what he loved. Before he went, he at least lived his dream. She says:
“IT WAS SOMETHING HE WANTED HIS WHOLE LIFE. IT’S LIKE MY SON SAID, ‘DAD WENT OUT WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE ON HIS FACE’.”
